Voltage going to the motherboard's power supply is 118VAC. When I first powered the machine up, the control screen displayed a CMOS battery low error, press F1 to continue. Obviously, the CMOS battery needed to be replaced. I had to remove the mother board to find the battery.

The ProtoTrak is definitley easier to program and use. They are also more rigid as the entire column moves in the Z direction whereas only the quill moves on an EZ-Trak. Their only drawback is that unless you purchase a seperate DNC software package (about $1000), they aren't truly a three axis machine.

I have a new to me Bridgeport EZ Trak DX (1993 S/N). Being in my garage without 3p I am planning to hook it up to a VFD (suggestions welcome). The plate says it uses wiring diagram #1942856, which of course I don't have. I placed a call to Hardinge who says they don't have it, and Google has been failing me as well.

To replace the motherboard, you need an OLD pc board. 486, 586, or the earliest Pentium processor. The faster speeds of the newer processors will not work.
